Hello All,
Yesterday afternoon I went over to the reservoir in hopes of seeing the Pied-Billed Grebe again, but no luck. I was able to see two White Faced Ibis, new to me at this location, two Snowy Egrets, three Little Blues, and some unidentified ducks. I was able to get some snapshots of the Ibis, but nothing great. My best shots came from the Little Blue's like this one. The wind was blowing extremely hard so that when the herons tried flying against it they looked like they were just hovering in one position which made getting this shot very easy!
I hope to make it back there some time this weekend to try and get shots of the Ibis and others.
Anyway, hope you like this one.

This is great Landon. Nice job getting one in flight, and I saw your portrait on NSN and that's nice too. Good job getting in close to the birds. I would love to have a place like that so close to my home.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Josh! To get this close I waded in the water and crouched by some reeds, it works really well, the birds are almost oblivious to me.
ReplyDeleteI am saving for a kayak since I have seen a lot great images, like yours, taken from one
and really want to try it.
I can see your blog, and your last photos are really good, congratulations.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by David! Glad you liked the photos. Hope to see you here again soon.
